Awana

As part of our church's Awana ministry, we hold Awana meetings on Friday evenings, where children and young teens come together for an evening filled with biblical teaching, interesting lessons, music, enjoyment, and fun activities.

WHAT is Awana?

Awana is "a world-wide nonprofit ministry focused on providing Bible-based evangelism and discipleship solutions for ages 2-18 [please note: our church offers Awana for ages 2-14]. As the global leader in child and youth discipleship, Awana gives children the opportunity to know, love, and serve Jesus, no matter their background". (source: Awana website)

WHO is it for and who will be teaching?

Our church offers Awana clubs for children and youth aged 2-14.

The clubs we currently have are:

  • Cubbies (2 to 4 years old)

  • Sparks (5 to 7 years old)

  • T&T (8 to 11 years old)

  • Trek (12 to 14 years old)

Our Awana leaders are all saved and baptized members of our church who believe in God's Word and who desire to serve and disciple children and youth. Leaders have been trained in the Awana program and have been serving in this ministry since its inception in our church.

WHEN and WHERE do the meetings take place?

The meetings take place on Friday evenings from 7:30pm to 9:00pm in the church basement.

Please note that Awana follows the schedule of the school year, so there are no Awana classes in July and August.
